Mosquitoes can make enjoying the outdoors almost unbearable. They can carry disease and leave our arms and legs with whelps. The female mosquito is the culprit. She is attracted by the body’s scent and carbon dioxide, which she can detect from 75-100 feet away. For this reason, some people seem to get attacked more than other. She bites us and converts the blood into food to feed the larvae. Most species of mosquitoes rarely travel farther than 300 feet from their birthplace. This is a program that runs from April-October and is designed to reduce the mosquito population by treating the areas where they nest and breed. At each monthly visit all shrubs and small trees will be fogged, larvicide will be applied to water features with standing water, and standing water will be eliminated if possible. With ever changing weather patterns, the program can be extended earlier or later than the dates above at the request of the customer. We can also offer treatments for special occasions or parties.
Disease Carriers
Mosquitoes are organisms that are capable of carrying and spreading diseases. Each year seems to bring more and more disease out breaks traced back to mosquitoes. We are happy to do our part to help eliminate mosquito diseases.
You can help by walking your property and dumping out standing water. Even the smallest amount of space can provide the perfect breeding ground. Mosquitoes often lay 100s of eggs at a time in standing water.
